Final call for The Oscars: Cillian Murphy boards a flight to Los Angeles

That was the special shout-out from Aer Lingus last night as Cork superstar Cillian Murphy boarded a Los Angeles-bound flight ahead of the Oscars on Sunday.
Looking relaxed and confident in a casual black tee and denim jacket, Murphy, who is nominated for Best Actor, smiled for a snap with Aer Lingus crew as he hopped on the plane bound for Hollywood.
The Ballintemple-born star got the nod for his incredible performance as J Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, in Christopher Nolan’s epic Oppenheimer, which is also nominated for Best Picture as well as in the Best Director category.
“Final call for The Oscars.” the airline shared on social media.
“A special moment with Cillian Murphy today as he boarded flight EI 069 to Los Angeles. We’re all behind you.”
The actor is hotly tipped to bring the Best Actor Academy Award home to Leeside at the 96th Oscars hosted by Jimmy Kimmel on Sunday, March 10th.
