Barry Keoghan reveals how he drove big brother Colin Farrell mad while living together
Barry Keoghan spoke to Ryan Tubridy this morning and explained that his fellow Irish actor Colin Farrell has looked after him for years

Barry Keoghan has revealed he drove "big brother" Colin Farrell mad by eating all of his favourite cereal while the pair lived together.

Barry lived with Colin last year while the pair were filming the upcoming Martin McDonagh film The Cripple of Inishmaan.

The 29-year-old actor, who is from Summerhill in Dublin's north inner city, explained that his fellow actor has always looked after him.

Joining Ryan Tubridy live in studio this morning, he said: "Colin is like a big brother to me. Colin has always been there for me and he still is.

"That man, I could spend a whole hour talking about him."

Joking about what it was like to live with Colin, Barry revealed that he kept eating the star's Crunchy Nut cereal.

He said: "I did eat all his Crunchy Nut all the time. Every time he came down in the morning he was like 'Where's the Crunchy Nut?' and there were boxes everywhere."

Ryan went on to read out a quote from Colin about living with Barry in which he described the "mess when you go in in the morning".

"There are knives on the floor with butter on them and crumbs everywhere, tea bags in the sink and all that s****," Ryan read out.

Eternals star Barry added: "He was great to take me in and he wanted me to live with him so he could look after me. He's brilliant.

"He's so insightful and I've learned a lot and I keep learning from him. Not only as an actor but as a human being.

"He's had many talks with me and given me such advice on going forward with many things."

In an interview on RTE 2FM with Stephen Byrne, Colin said Barry is "a cracking young fella".

"He’s magic, he’s just a cracking young man and I just wish him the best, apart from being an extraordinary actor, there’s a lot of extraordinary actors in the world and Barry is one of them," Colin said of Barry.
