Kneecap praise comrade Tom Hardy after hes spotted wearing
Kneecap has shared their appreciation for Tom Hardy after he was photographed wearing a tricolour balaclava.

It’s the same balaclava worn by Kneecap’s DJ Próvaí (JJ Ó Dochartaigh) on stage.

The Venom star was pictured in the green, white, and orange balaclava as he walked his French Bulldog around London last week and became the subject of an article on The Sun’s website shortly afterwards.

It’s the same balaclava worn by Kneecap’s DJ Próvaí (JJ Ó Dochartaigh) on stage having originally worn it to disguise himself from students while he was a teacher.

He also donned the accessory at the Bafta Awards ceremony this month alongside a matching tricolour suit.

Próvaí and his fellow Kneecap members, Mo Chara (Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh) and Móglaí Bap (Naoise Ó Cairealláin), took to social media on Saturday night to post the photos of Tom Hardy.

They gave him a thumbs up for his fashion choice too, writing: “Tom Hardy - welcome comrade,” adding a handshake and Irish flag emojis.

The unexpected crossover prompted fans to suggest making a sequel to the Kneecap movie and getting Hardy on board.

It comes after Kneecap were pictured publicly for the first time with their partners at the IFTA awards in Dublin earlier this month.

The group picked up four IFTA awards at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, rubbing shoulders at the glitzy event with the likes of Cillian Murphy, Saoirse Ronan, Nicola Coughlan, Andrew Scott, Sharon Horgan and Chris O’Dowd.

The Gaeilgeoir musicians arrived at the Dublin and Belfast premieres of their film last August in a PSNI-style Land Rover, waving Irish and Palestinian flags.

Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh (Mo Chara) went to the Dublin gongs with his real-life girlfriend Sinéad Nic Colaim, who works in Belfast’s Cultúrlann in the heart of the city’s Gaeltacht Quarter.

Móglaí Bap attended with his partner Niamh Hinchy, who sings with Absolute Lilt, while DJ Próvaí was accompanied by his partner Áine O’Hanlon.

Their IFTA awards includes Best Director for Rich Peppiatt, as well as gongs for casting, costume design and editing.

All three band members had been up for Best Actor award, while Michael Fassbender was nominated as Best Supporting Actor for his role in the movie.

Small Things Like These won the top IFTA for Best Film, while Cillian Murphy also took home the award for Actor in a Lead Role for his performance in the film, on which he was also a producer.

Enda Walsh won Best Screenplay for adapting Claire Keegan’s acclaimed book.

Saoirse Ronan took home two awards, for Actress in a Lead Role and Actress in a Supporting Role for her roles in The Outrun and Blitz, respectively.
